Stress...Nose Breathe:)

Breathing done through the nose is neurologically proven to calm the nervous system. Like a baby when it is in stress mode the binki goes in and the baby calms down...nose breathing. When breathing is done through the nose it connects to the nervous receptors in the brain that communicates to the body to calm and return to the conscious mind vs the subconscious fight or flight mode. When I have had times of struggle and intense trauma or stress I forced my self to take at least 8 slow breathes through the nose.

Next time you find yourself in a whirlwind try nose breathing..its also a great tool to teach the kids when they feel uptight or nervous:)

Sat Nam What?

What does Sat Nam mean? Well, yes I am a mom hence Moma at the end. Sat Nam is sanskrit word used in a Kundalini sanskrit Mantra. The reason this particular mantra rang in me is because I love its meaning. Sat means "TRUE or Truth" and Nam means "Name"...so together it means "True Self" or my name/identitiy is "Truth".  As long as I have lived I have quickly picked up or discerned when things or people feel a bit off or if they felt clear, genuine, pure or true. With any message or advice I have learned from others, from experience or living I hope to deliver or pass on only things I feel are right, pure or true. As you are embarking on your own personal learning experience or journey in life, I encourage all I meet to not just take advice but to pray, discern and think for themselves if it is right, pure or true for you. You will not fail if you follow this pattern first. I believe we are not ultimately in charge or in control of our life but when you acknowledge you can be led by a higher source first, that is when your life unfolds as it should.
Loves,
Sat Nam Moma

Faulty Lies

Truth I learned today....what are your favorite faulty programs you run in your mind to feel safe and worth?
I have to have a special noticeable hobby to have worth.
I have to stay thin to be loved or I'm not thin so I don't deserve love
I have to be everything to everyone for my children to be a good mom
I have to have a perfect home to be loved or have worth
I have to run marathons...everyone is, I must not be good if I can't
I need to control food my weight so much to match my self worth based on lies
I'm worth being loved if I can do everything perfectly
I have to do everything
I just can't because.....needs me.
I'm not worth being taken care of
My Maker only approves of me if I do everything perfect
I'll be happy when..we have more money, I'm thinner, I'm better, stronger...better than them...
Will I ever be enough..
Etc.....
Faulty lies believed to keep you feeling you are safe....you have to earn your worth and safety right?
Heavenly Father gave you the gift of worth...accept it use for good and feel divine peace and joy not based on these lies.
You are divinely worth so much with unique gifts and talents and strength to give to live to help to succor to nurture

.....You are Light....You are Love.

Your Divine Worth

You are divine. You do not earn divine worth..we don't have control of our worth ...it's simply there. A gift we came with from heaven. What does a baby do or not do to have worth? We do have control of how we receive our worth and use our worth. To say when I'm thin I'll have worth, when I'm successful, a bigger home, clean home, more money etc...are short term worth grabs and ultimately when you think you've arrived why is there still a need for more or an emptiness? Because these do not define your worth. Heavenly Father gave us divine worth as He did our Agency, they are gifts we can choose to accept and act upon everyday. We have a choice to receive these from him and use them to bless, develop, nurture and become.

Skin Secrets

Growing ever closer to 40 than 30 I have had many ask what do you do for your skin?

1. Eat clean..meaning good wholesome food and clean water..avoiding stimulants, processed foods and sugar.

2. Sleep..I try to get 8 hours and sometimes a nap. it has been shown that proper sleep reboots the system, cleanses the liver and resets hormones. Lack of sleep has been shown to be detrimental to skin rejuvenation.

3. Try to keep the Stress on the downlow. This is a difficult one being a mom of 3 and going non stop and just with life it has a way of throwing curve balls. Deep breathing done through the nose puts cortisol to rest and relaxing hormones activate. Stress has been linked to more outbreaks:)

4. Products? Really the truth is...if you are cleaner on the inside your skin will be cleaner and have a natural glow from the outside. Your skin is your third kidney and so when there is less to clean from inside it naturally glows. I personally have never used foundation. As for the body it is helpful to use a epson salts or mineral bath salts to cleanse and purify the body in a warm bath , followed by a moisterizing vitamin E oil, shae butter or your favorite essential oil blend. I also really love to dry brush my entire body to sluf off dead skin and produce circulation for the lymph system. As far a facial cleansers etc...I have tried many different products for the skin but here are my favorites.

-Annemarie Gianni Organics is the most pure skin care line I have seen. I have tried their age line and sensitive cleanser toner and herbal facial oil..to purchase see sidebar icon
:)

Here is the latest...I wash with whatever I have and then apply these two magical pure all natural skin products.

-Silver Gel with a few drops of frankincense organic oil and apply after cleansing and leave on overnight. Also once a week using redmond facial clay for a quick rejuvenating mask. These can be purchased at www.colorearth.com....Use Code Ash20 to recieve 20% off your entire order.

Stress...Sleep?

I think we all in this day and age deal with a fair amount of stress. Here are a few tips you can implement, if you haven't already, to combat this inevitable part of life.

Rest&Relax:
Get at least 8 hours of  at night and get to bed by 10pm. Based on body biorhythms for detoxing and resetting, best to get to bed early and early to rise. Also a midday siesta/nap has been shown to rejuvenate and reboot the nervous system.

Move:
Exercise for circulation and to oxygenate the body has been found to release the hormone saratonin, the happy hormone that regulates the degenerative effects of cortisol on the body..but in moderation is best. Too much exercise can actually put more stress on the system. 20 min of cardio and 10-15 min of strength and stretch is usually sufficient for a balanced body. Yoga is a great form of exercise to put into your movement routine because of the deep breathing techniques taught that can calm the nervous system.

Eat Well
Eat balanced clean meals and drink plenty of clean water  (ie. low sugar carbs/veggies, good fats, clean protein) at least 3 times a day, dinner being your lightest meal because the body is getting ready to wind down. Stimulants like sugar and coffee can create havoc on the nervous, immune and endocrine system over time.

Breath
Each day find time to breathe and to breathe deep,
especially in times of heightened stress. Take several deep breathes in through the nose and slowly exhale. Deep breathes have been found to reset, calm and recenter the body and nervous system.

Connect
Find time to connect, ponder and or meditate focusing on the divine or what ever higher source you believe in. For me, I try to make it the first priority into and out of my day. Connecting this way has been found to relieve stress believing you can trust and put faith in a power higher than your own.

Remember
Who you are..really. Your worth, you may feel comes from your outside accomplishments, outer appearance, things you acquire and any other worldly accolades. Your worth is a gift,  you are divine soul. When you remember this, whatever stressful circumstances life throws at you, you can hone your nervous subconscious by remembering where your worth lies.

Play and Laugh
I have to remind myself of this one..sometimes we get so wrapped in our work load and keeping up in life that we miss the joy. Take time to pause, have fun and laugh in life connecting with others you love. Remember to nurture relationships in this way.

Herbal Helps
Here are a list of adaptogenic herbs for sleep, mood and stress relief you can try. Every system is different so if one doesn't work, try another:)

Sleep: Passionflower, Lemon balm,Valerian,Calf Poppy, Chamomile and to stimulate sleep Maletonin.

Stress/Mood: Holy Basil, Ashwaganda, Rhodiola, St. Johns Wort, GABA, 5htp, L-theanine, Astragulus(immune), Maca (balance endocrine), Ginseng and Green tea (natural energy lift)

Toothpaste A second thought

I was recently at a dental appointment when my dentist told me that most all toothpastes are really not necessary and in fact only are used because people want the fresh taste of mint..He then went on to give me some ideas of how oils arer more effective for cleaning and reducing bacteria in the mouth.

 Toothpaste???

Here is a quick way to make use of your oils and my favorite silver gel.
Combine drops of each to a small glass bowl or bottle:

Peppermint 10 drops
tea tree 5 drops
clove 5 drops
Orange 10 drops

Dab toothbrush in combo oil and add a pump of silver aloe gel to fully remove bacteria..use organic silver mouth wash to rinse:)To purchase oils, wash and silver gel www.colorearth.com

Garden tomatoes

Garden Tomatoes..its that time of year:)
Most of us choose to bottle our tomatoes..however there is another easy idea that our family loves..and they make such a great snack:) You just simply clean, slice an inch thick and dehydrate over night on low approx 125 on an Excalibur dehydrator.

Your Divine Worth

Worth

This has been a topic I have been pondering, studying and learning from. Most of my life I struggled with my innate self worth..and what I didn't understand. I had it all along and was just trying to understand the mold everyone else was living. Where does your worth come from?

You may say:

My Career
My Home
My Body,Hair,Eyelashes etc...
My Temporal things
My worldly accomplishments
Etc...

Your Self worth is divine. You came from Heaven with it, you are a literal son or daughter of Divine..it was a gift given. Here on earth we use our divine worth to explore, learn, grow, develop and to sluff off the natural man tendencies and the worldly definitions of worth. You have worth..just the way you are and you are a beautiful soul learning, growing, stretching and creating new every day.

If you live in a four season climate like I do, you can still have fresh warming herbs like rosemary and oregano even in the winter months.

Collagen

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body and is the substance that holds the whole body together.
My sister referred me to this brand and have found it helpful.  Add it to soups smoothies or whatever you feel to help heal with this helpful protein source.

Collagen Protein
Hydrolyzed collagen can help regulate the body's metabolism by providing protein of low molecular weight that is quickly absorbed in the digestive tract.
The rapid absorption and distinctive amino acid groups in this formula will impact a large number of metabolic pathways.
The body's natural ability to repair supporting connective tissue (bone, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, skin, hair, and nails) diminishes in one's mid-twenties. Collagen contains amino acids such as glycine, lysine, and proline, which are important amino acids and can be used by the body to build connective tissue structures to support the functions of the cells.
Hydrolyzed collagen is the same collagen found naturally in bones, skin, and cartilage. It is a bioactive product containing 90% protein and is easily assimilated by the body.
Hydrolyzed collagen is the unique combination of amino acids in concentrated levels. This low molecular weight protein is easily digested which supports the body's natural healing.
Collagen Hydrolysate will not congeal because it has been hydrolyzed for quick assimilation into the body. Collagen is important to nitrogen balance, and may prevent age related cartilage damage and collagen loss.

Roasted Radishes

According to Chinese Medicine, radishes are excellent for damp-type conditions. And cysts, endometriosis, fibroids and PCOS are all examples of dampness. Radishes act as an astringent, so it’s great for water retention and candida.

Beautifully Balanced

Beautifully Balanced. Over the past 18 years I have been on a journey and sought answers, been taught and received good knowledge on health and balance for the body, mind, soul and spirit. I have realized from my own personal health crisis and journey, that health is just not what you eat and excercise, these are important temporal pieces..but I have learned its more... moderation and healing and growing and letting go in many different areas in life. I have lost my health physically, felt pains emotionally, struggled mentally and with that also my spirit from time to time was pressed. I hope that from these experiences and ways grown, I may be a tool to help guide and direct others. I do not charge..this knowledge is free as my time permits being a busy mom. I realize that all truth and good knowledge is not mine, it comes from a loving Heavenly Father that wants all his children to find peace in whatever life challenges present to them. I continue to still seek and learn. I do not have all the answers, and don't pretend to, but will gladly try to help in any way I can.
